Raghuvansh passes “too far away” three days after Lalu wrote, ‘you are going nowhere’

Three days after RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav wrote in his own hand-writing to the former Union rural development minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh that you are going nowhere, the latter breathed his last on Sunday in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. The RJD supremo was responding to a 30-word letter purportedly written by Raghuvansh seeking his forgiveness for parting ways 32 years after going together.

Lalu and other RJD leaders as well as many independent political observers refused to accept that the letter was hand written by Raghuvansh and that too when he was in the Intensive Care Unit of AIIMS. After his death on Sep 13, Lalu tweeted: “Priye Raghuvansh Babu! yah aap ne kya kiya? Maine parson hi aap se kaha tha aap kahin nahin ja rahe hain. Lekin aap itni door chale gaye. Ni-shabd hoo, dukhi hoo(Dear Raghuvansh Babu, What have you done. Only two days back I wrote that you are going nowhere. Now you have gone so far away. I am speechless, very sad).

Raghuvansh’s death created storm in the political circles and the RJD leaders and workers have started questioning the veracity of that letter as only on September 12 he was put on ventilator. They see a great conspiracy of the BJP and chief minister Nitish Kumar in it. Not only RJD supporters, even senior Hindi journalist Dinesh Kumar Singh openly wrote a day before Raghuvansh’s death that the letter was a fabricated one and asked as to how a man in ICU and fighting for his life pen a letter from AIIMS.

Dinesh asked as to how can a man who proposed the name of Tejashwi for the post of chief minister and strongly criticised Nitish Kumar for his total failure to fight Corona Virus as late as June 4 write a letter flaying Lalu. Dinesh’s article alleged that Raghuvansh had never forgiven Nitish and had criticized him even when Lalu in 2015 joined hands with him and made him the chief minister. Raghuvansh had even then warned Lalu that one day Nitish would again betray him. Dinesh also wrote that former Union minister and Janata Dal United leader Digvijay Singh’s death too was shrouded in mystery.

Anyway the BJP and Janata Dal United leaders were quick to condole his death and are now giving him the credit for introducing MGNREGA and success of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who inaugurated several projects for Bihar, always paid tributes to Raghuvansh.
